Omassim Guesthouse

Hotel description

With the opening of Omassim Guesthouse in Greater Lisbon, Lia and Eduardo have fulfilled a dream. Lia is German and quit her job in Berlin. Since then she has been sharing her love of yoga with guests on the coast of Portugal. Eduardo is Portuguese and worked with metal in his old job. Today he heats his pots and pans in the kitchen at Omassim and treats guests to vegetarian meals. His strong hands also melt away stubborn tension with massages. Whether metal, fire or massage, for Eduardo everything is connected.

Yoga and Surfing in Portugal at Omassim Guesthouse

For surf lessons, the couple partners with Progress Surf School, founded by professional surfers Joana Andrade and Filipe Rastef Henrique.

Guests are accommodated in three different buildings with different types of rooms for their yoga vacation. Shady spots, the pool and hammocks invite you to relax.

Various packages are available for week-long stays that include surfing and yoga, or just yoga, or other services such as mountain biking or hiking.

Yoga at Omassim Guesthouse

“Yoga and surfing are both equally connected to you as a person. The more you let go of the ambitious will, the better you can connect with the wave. The same thing happens in yoga practice. The more you let go and connect with your breath, the more you can feel the movements and postures within you,” Lia explains in her video.

In the morning, they do gentle vinyasa flow yoga to prepare for a day on the surfboard or other activities. In the evening, you can relax with yin and restorative yoga.

Catering

The owner himself is behind the stove. Eduardo uses local products with patience, love and passion. The food looks so good on the pictures that you’ll want to travel to Portugal just to see for yourself how it tastes. It goes without saying that Eduardo has no problem adapting to individual requirements.
