With a heartfelt vision to create a retreat centre dedicated to healing in harmony with nature, German expat couple Marcus and Sabine Lengfeld and their three children set out to find the land where they could realise their dream.

The Pachawa Retreat Centre is located on the west coast of Portugal, about a 25-minute drive from an unspoilt dream beach perfect for surfing. Faro Airport is a two hour drive and Lisbon is around 2.5 hours away.

Pachawa Retreat Centre is a place where you can reconnect with yourself and remember what it means to be alive … and truly be.

Surrounded by breathtaking nature and the opportunity to engage in community, it is a place where growth, reconnection and transformation can take place. Here, in the silence, the inner voice can be heard loud and clear. New projects can germinate and grow. The earth offers the security and stability needed for a new beginning.

This is the place where hearts open – and love begins to flow again.

Yoga at Pachawa Retreat Center

Pachawa Retreat Centre is reserved exclusively for groups. Convince your yoga teacher to hold a retreat there, or check out the retreat calendar and join a group.

Catering

Pachawa Retreat Centre in Portugal offers two options for groups. You can either hire the kitchen and all the equipment for your own use, or you can enjoy buffet-style meals three times a day. The permaculture garden is of course used for the catering.

Pachawa Retreat Centre can host retreats for up to 20 people. Accommodation is in shared rooms and apartments with private bathrooms.

For those staying in the dome tents and tiny houses, there are two outdoor bathrooms with three composting toilets, three solar-heated showers and three sinks with hot and cold running water.

There is a communal shaded outdoor kitchen and plenty of lounge areas surrounded by greenery.

Practice on the yoga platform overlooking the valley. Yoga mats and other props are also available.
