Hotel WEIDEN
Hotel description
The Hotel WEIDEN in Schladming in Styria makes our BAREFOOT hearts beat faster. The drive of owners and hosts Georg & Nadja Niederl is not to go faster, higher or bigger. It’s about rethinking, real innovation and honest sustainability. An inspiring house in the middle of the Austrian mountains – a good insider tip for your yoga holiday in Schladming.
Nadja has created her own Selfness concept, combining her expertise in TCM and TEM (Traditional European Medicine). Yoga and fasting, herbs, detox and nutrition – it’s all about awareness, health and education around YOU. So that your holiday lasts longer and you can take it back to your everyday life at home.
The WEIDEN is a small hotel with few, but spacious apartments, rooms and suites. Everything has been thought of in the spacious, airy living areas: cosiness through reduced, natural materials, high quality beds, perfectly equipped kitchens with every detail, a communicative dining area, so-called “pasture areas” – dreamy oases of comfort with lots of cushions and a clear view in front of large glass fronts for daydreaming.
Yoga at Hotel WEIDEN
At Hotel WEIDEN you can find yoga retreats and health programes in spring and autumn. There are no daily yoga classes. They work with the best yoga teachers. The programes are well thought out, high quality and refreshingly different. Especially nice, special yoga retreats for women over 40. Yes, yoga is not just for young athletes on the mat. It’s about the search for wisdom. The first stage of yoga is the body.
Whether it’s a weekend on yoga and self-care, detox and slowing down with fasting, or a time-out for being a woman – let yourself be inspired. But we don’t want to deprive you of another special feature. Have you ever heard of WYDA (pronounced WÜDA)? This is the yoga of the Europeans, or more specifically the yoga of the Celts. It is suitable for anyone with no previous experience and can be integrated into your yoga practice. The WYDA & Resilience Training Retreat is a valuable tool for your health.
Catering
Organic products. Honest and simple. Less meat. More variety. Herbs and spices. Freshly cooked. Always vegetarian. Sometimes fish. Less waste. And pleasing to the eye. These things are important to the hotel. And this is what the kitchen wants to offer to the guests when it comes to culinary delights.
The host, Georg, has worked in some of the best kitchens in Austria and has been a chef for many years. He knows the art of cooking inside out. And the hostess? For Nadja, a TCM nutritionist and herbalist, cooking and eating are a matter of course.
During the retreats, the food is coordinated with the programme. If you book a stay away from the retreat, the SMART Kitchen concept allows you to decide each day whether you want to eat in the hotel, cook in your apartment or go out to eat.
