Eco Hotel Feistererhof
Hotel description
Since 1448, the Feistererhof has evolved from a modest farm into a charming organic hotel, which has been expanded several times and can now accommodate 40 guests. The magnificent natural backdrop of the Dachstein Massif provides the setting for a very special yoga holiday in the mountains.
3rd generation family ownership
The historic house has been run as a hotel for three generations and remains firmly in family hands. The Feistererhof combines the tradition of a farm with the comfort of a modern guesthouse and hotel.
The hosts are particularly keen to raise awareness of the priceless value of nature, how to treat the land and animals properly and, last but not least, where our food comes from. Stable tours or herb walks – get in touch with nature’s treasures and take a look behind the scenes.
Special experiences
In summer, the Feistererhof is the perfect starting point for long hikes. Whether in the pleasantly shaded Feisterwald forest directly behind the organic hotel, on the famous Rittisberg or through the flowering meadows and fields of the sunny plateau – hiking on the Ramsau plateau is a real treat for nature lovers.
The Schladming-Dachstein region is a guarantee of the best that winter has to offer and has rightly earned a reputation as a place for gentle winter holidays in harmony with nature. The stunning mountain backdrop of the Dachstein, cross-country ski trails and untouched slopes are perfect for snowshoeing and ski touring.
Yoga at Eco Hotel Feistererhof
The hotel was particularly enriched by the introduction of yoga during the pandemic. During this difficult time for so many, Christina found support, confidence and above all relaxation in yoga. As a result, the former kids play room was transformed into a light-filled yoga room with a window front, and the Feistererhof became a place for yoga holidays in the mountains.
Since then, regular yoga retreats have been held in combination with various specialisations such as yoga and hiking. In addition, experienced local yoga teachers offer yoga several times a week as part of the activity programme in small groups of no more than 8 people. Guests can start their day with yoga at 7.30am and leave the daily grind behind. Evening relaxation sessions with yin yoga, singing bowls or gentle back yoga are also part of the programme.
Whether you choose Vinyasa, Hatha or Yin Yoga, the best equipment, from mats and blocks to straps and meditation cushions, will be provided. Wrapped in a loden blanket and with the warm afternoon sun on your face, relaxation comes naturally.
Catering
Regional, seasonal, organic – good things are often just around the corner. At the Biohotel Feistererhof we cook with many high-quality products from our own organic farm. These include not only fruit, vegetables and herbs, but also meat, game and dairy products. Head chef Matthias Simonlehner combines traditional recipes with international influences and fresh ingredients from the region or directly from his own farm.
